WAZIR CAPTAIN AMIR ALI KARIM IN KABUL

The mission commenced by Chhotu Lakhani took its resumption after three years by Wazir Cap. Amir Ali, accompanied by Sayed Jalal Badakhshani. They held long discussions with the members of three groups in Kabul. Wazir Cap. Amir Ali was an efficient and capable person, who restored peace and brought reconciliation between them. The disputes among them was mostly based on the issues of the Ismaili doctrines therefore their conciliation did not last long. Wazir Cap. Amir Ali optimistically maintained that the set up of new organizations for the Afghan jamats would be possible within a year or little more. But, as he found some complicated issues, he came to the conclusion that there was no possibility of its early solution.

Wazir Cap. Amir Ali however focused his attention on the problems of the Afghan jamat, and submitted a detailed report to the Imam. After going through it, the Imam sent a Farman on August 14, 1977, expressing his gratification for the removal of differences between the jamats, and assured that Wazir Cap. Amir Ali would make another trip of Afghanistan provided he confirmed that the established opinions accorded between the Jamats to be valid, then the first step would be taken in establishment of a single organization for the Afghan jamat at the end of 1977.
