His Highness the Aga Khan, Imam of the Shia Ismaili community, visited Singapore from 1 to 3 December 2008. His Highness called on President S R Nathan and was hosted to lunch by Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo also met with His Highness.

During his meeting with Prince Khan, the president said Pakistan was ready to cooperate with India in connection with its investigation into the recent acts of terrorism in Mumbai but feared that statements being made by the neighboring country could damage peaceful environment.

On the occasion, Prince Khan said both the countries should be patient and continue the process of dialogue.

H. H. The Aga Khan Visited Canada From November 18th to the 25th. During His visit, He met with the ismaili community and met with officials in Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.

2008, November 6. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Igor Chudinov and Prince Aga Khan have arrived in Naryn town. The goal of their visits is to familiarize with construction process of the University of Central Asia. The Prince Aga Khan arrived in Kyrgyzstan on three-day visit at the invitation of the republic's government. He had already visited Kazakhstan and Tajikistan within the framework of his tour to Central Asia.

November 4, 2008, Asia-Plus - On Monday November 3, His Highness the Aga Khan attended the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the Ismaili Cultural-Educational Center, Jamatkhana, in Khorog, Gorno Badakhshan. 2008, October 30: Prince Aga Khan pays visit to Kazakhstan - One of the World famous patrons of art, Prince Karim Aga Khan VI has paid a visit to Kazakhstan. He is one of the descendants of the Prophet Mohammed and he is also the Imam of the Muslim and Shiite community of the Ismaili.
