AGA KHAN FUND GIVES TAJIKISTAN 2.5M DOLLARS TO IMPROVE CAPITAL CITY</I> - 2001-04-14
Text of report by Tajik radio on 14 April - The permanent representative of the Aga Khan office, Hakim Frista, told Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaydulloyev that the Aga Khan Foundation has transferred 2.5m dollars to the Dushanbe administration's account to improve conditions in Dushanbe to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Tajikistan's anniversary.

The spiritual leader of the Shi'ite Ismailite Community made his declaration in an interview with the Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Serra in which he said that the Taliban regime is a product of the civilized world and the international community.
