on Imamat Day:

"Today Ismaili Muslims across Canada and around the world celebrate the anniversary of the ascension of His Highness The Aga Khan IV to the Throne of Imamat.

The Beloved Imam of the Ismailis, Mowlana Sultan Mohamed Shah Passed away on July 11th, 1957. He appointed his grandson Mowlana Shah Karim Al-Hussayni age 20 to succed him as Imam and Pir of all the ismailis of the world.

“Today, we join Shia Ismaili Muslims in Canada and around the world to celebrate His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, who on this day in 1957 became Imam—spiritual leader—of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims.
