Toronto's newest park, designed by Vladimir Djurovic, is a serene seven-hectare garden inspired by Islamic gardens, featuring more than a thousand trees, reflecting pools and a walking path.
It might be buried in snow right now, but there's a unique garden in Toronto that's worth a visit at any time of year, even in winter. The Aga Khan Park is Toronto's newest park, designed by Lebanon-based landscape architect Vladimir Djurovic.

The flame for the Pan Am games was a big attraction in the city Sunday, but first the people of Don Mills had a park to welcome.
Visitors to the first major public event at the beautiful Aga Khan Park had plenty to enjoy. The park, located between the Aga Khan Museum and the Ismaili Centre, has reflecting pools, green spaces and trees.

The Aga Khan joined Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne for the opening of a new garden retreat in the heart of Toronto.
The 6.8 hectare park is located just off the Don Valley Parkway, a major municipal expressway. The park was designed by landscape architect Vladimir Djurovic, and was inspired by traditional Persian and Mughal gardens.
"What we have here is an absolutely unique park here in Toronto," Aga Khan Museum Director Henry Kim told CTV's Canada AM on Monday.
