ISLAMABAD - (Dawn) : The Aga Khan, Imam of the Ismaili Muslims, arrives here on Sunday for a short visit to Pakistan. The Aga Khan will meet with President Pervez Musharraf as well as senior government officials. During this visit, he will attend the inauguration of the First Micro-Finance Bank, sponsored by the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme and the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED). The Aga Khan is also expected to be present at a ceremony to formally inaugurate the Islamabad Serena Hotel, developed and operated by Tourism Promotion Services, an affiliate of the AKFED.

Hazar Imam expressed His great joy and special happiness in informing the Jamat about the engagement and future marriage of His beloved second son Prince Hussain to Miss Kristin J. White who had embraced Islam and adopted the name Khaliya.

Hazar Imam said "I am sure that My Jamat will share with Me in this most happy news as I rejoice Myself"

I expected the Aga Khan to be a Parisian at heart, like his grandfather and father before him, with "high society" manners, living in luxury and idle for most of the time.

Hazar Imam gave an interview to Roger Priouret for the French magazine L'Expansion; 'Face a Face'. Translated in English under the title 'Face to Face with the Aga Khan'. This is the interview where Hazar Imam said that Religion is not something that should be modified everyday.

Hazar Imam sent a 3 pages hand-written letter to Mr. Bhogilal of Ahmedabad for the 'magnificent hospitality' shown to Hazar Imam during his stay at the Bhogilal home.

The 25th of February, 1989.

Dear Mr. Bhogilal, After returning to Aiglemont from India, I spent four days here before leaving for Egypt, and as I got back only the day before yesterday from that journey. I simply have not had an earlier occasion to write to you personally to thank you and your wife and niece for the magnificent hospitality you extended to me during my stay in Ahmedabad.
