Uganda is going ahead with plans to privatise the Nile Hotel International Ltd (NHIL) despite a court battle between the government and Tunisia's Tahar Fourati. This is the second time the hotel is being concessioned by the Privatisation Unit. The hotel complex was in October 1994 partly sold to Tahar Fourati. A dispute ensued and Tahar Fourati lodged a case to have their money refunded.

MUSLIM GROUP SETS HEALTH TALKS HERE - 2003-08-06

Close to 1,000 Muslim health care professionals from around the country will meet in Atlanta this weekend to discuss medical treatment and training programs in developing countries. The doctors, nurses and researchers are with the Ismaili Health Professional Association, a Houston-based group that runs clinics and organizes missions in Asia and Africa. Ismailis represent about 15 million of the more than 1 billion Muslims worldwide. They are a subset of Shiite Muslims, who are a separate, smaller Muslim community than the majority Sunni Muslims.

MINISTRY TO LAUNCH TRAINING COURSES FOR NURSES - 2003-08-04

The ministry of overseas Pakistanis will launch two training programmes for nurses so that they could avail job opportunities abroad. Under the programmes, training will be imparted to 300 nurses in Islamabad, while 3,200 nurses will receive training at Aga Khan Hospital Nursing College, Karachi.
