AGA KHAN'S VISIT TO PAKISTAN</I> - 2005-12-01
His Highness the Aga Khan visited various areas of Pakistan during which time he met with various leaders. Views were exchanged on various matters of importance including rehabilitation of earthquake-hit people and ongoing measures for the promotion of health and education facilities in the province.
Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat called on spiritual leader of Ismaili community Prince Karim Aga Khan at Serena Hotel, here on Tuesday.
Faisal thanked Prince Karim Aga Khan for paying visit to Azad Kashmir to express solidarity with the earthquake victims.
The minister also thanked the prince for extending assistance for the quake victims.
Faisal Saleh Hayat lauded the development and welfare activities of Aga Khan Foundation in Northern Areas.
The network of the Aga Khan Development Foundation is taking measures for the victims? rehabilitation in AJK, said Prince Karim Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of the Ismaili community, on Monday. Speaking at Thori, Prince Karim said the foundation was trying to provide maximum assistance to the victims. He said the foundation?s future projects include provision of basic facilities, planning of land, education and health. He said everyone should unite for the rehabilitation of the victims. online
His Highness the Aga Khan, founder and Chairman of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), today visited Muzaffarabad, capital of Azad Jammu, and Kashmir and Balakot, North West Frontier Province, areas severely affected by the 8 October earthquake.
President General Pervez Musharraf on Thursday appreciated the donations made by Prince Karim Aga Khan to help the people affected by October's earthquake and for the reconstruction of the devastated areas.Talking to Prince Aga Khan, who called on him here, he also applauded the efforts undertaken by the Aga Khan Development Network in the relief assistance for the people in the earthquake affected areas.
Prince Karim Aga Khan is visiting Pakistan to express solidarity with the people in the earthquake-affected areas that devastated parts of NWFP and Azad Kashmir on October 8.
Prince Karim Aga Khan, the spiritual head of the Ismaili community, held a meeting with Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad Khan at the Governor?s House on Friday. Views were exchanged on various matters of importance including rehabilitation of earthquake-hit people and ongoing measures for the promotion of health and education facilities in the province. The governor appreciated the assistance and cooperation extended by Aga Khan for the relief and rehabilitation of quake-hit people. He welcomed the visit of Aga Khan to Pakistan to express his solidarity at this hour of trial.
