A lecture was given by Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III called, 'Muslims of the British Empire.' It was printed in 'The Times Of India', Bombay, 22 July, 1911. A brief report was carried by 'The Time', London, 4 July 1911. The lecture was delivered under the auspices of the Council of the Festival of Empire at the Crystal Palace Theatre, London. Lord Avebury was to preside but he could not come and his place was taken by Lord Middleton. Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III spoke about the numerical strength of Muslims in India, their ties with the British Crown and the Role of the Aligarh University in India. ([1] 355)
