December 15, 1922 - Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III gave an interview with 'The Times of India', Bombay, 16 December 1922. 'The Civil and Military Gazette' also carried the interview on the same date.
'I believe great efforts will be needed yet before a just appreciation of the real issues is secured, but I have every reason to hope that once public opinion realizes how little the Muslims real desires and ambitions are in opposition to Great Britain, and the Empire, then there will be every possibility of a satisfactory settlement which, when once effected, will relieve Indian Muslims from the burden of pre-occupation of non-Indian questions for many years to come.'
