The French Minister of Culture Awarded H.H. The Aga Khan with a great distinction.

Christine Albanel a remis, le 28 mai, les distinctions de « Grand Mécène » et de « Grand Donateur » du ministère de la Culture à Son Altesse l'Aga Khan IV. L'Aga Khan est le 49e imam héréditaire des musulmans chiites ismaéliens, chef spirituel d'une communauté de 15 millions de personnes réparties dans vingt-cinq pays sur les cinq continents. Un mécénat exceptionnel en faveur du domaine de Chantilly.

2009, May 28: France grants Aga Khan titles of Grand Mécène and Grand Donateur. France’s Minister for Culture, Christine Albanel, honoured the Aga Khan with the titles of Grand Patron (Grand Mécène) and Grand Donor (Grand Donateur) in recognition of his outstanding contribution to cultural development in France through the Foundation for the Preservation and Development of the Chantilly Domain (Fondation pour la sauvegarde et le développement du domaine de Chantilly) as well as the numerous cultural programmes implemented by the cultural agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network throughout the world

Mawlana Hazar Imam received the Prix de l’Entrepreneur philanthropique de l’année 2009 (2009 Philanthropic Entrepreneur of the Year Award) presented to him by Le Nouvel Economiste, at a ceremony held on 17 December at the Cour des Comptes in Paris.

Paris, 17 December 2009 – Mawlana Hazar Imam received the Prix de l'Entrepreneur philanthropique de l'année 2009 (2009 Philanthropic Entrepreneur of the Year Award) presented to him by Le Nouvel Economiste, at a ceremony held at the Cour des Comptes in Paris.
