Monday, 1982, October 4The Aga Khan's Akiyda made a bold move along the rail and won by a head from fast-closing Ardross today in the $285,000 Prix de l'Arc Triomphe at the Longchamps race course.
Akiyda was ridden by the top French jockey, Yves Saint-Martin, who posted his third triumph in this event, Europe's richest thoroughbred horse race.
