Mowlana Hazar Imam visited the Jubilee Insurance Company Ltd., to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Company.
Mowlana Hazar Imam congratulated all the directors and staff for the remarkable progress that Jubilee has made in the past years. He confirmed, 'The Company has progressed on a stable and sound path; without dangerous ups and downs; without taking unhealthy risks and abiding by a relationship of trust, which I feel is probably the single most important aspect of an insurance company's relationship to its policy-holders and to its shareholders. And I have said to your Chairman and to your Board that it is very important tome, as it was for the Jubilee, that this relationship of trust should never be breached, neither between the policy holders and the Company nor between the shareholders and the Company.'

Mowlana Hazaar Imam said that it was a compliment to Kenya's stability that the Company can take a long term view of 5 years and more. 'It is a compliment to the wisdom with which the economy of Kenya is being managed.'

In conclusion Mowlana Hazar Imam stated 'in the past, many wise men and women have contributed to the development of Jubilee and I would like to take this occasion to express your and my gratitude to the past staff, past directors, past advisors and to people who are assisting today in planning its future on a sound and wise course. It is the consensus of thought, of aspiration, which I think makes a strong institution, whether it is in the financial sector or in any other sector.'

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Abdul Jaffer, the Chairman said that it was a joyous and memorable occasion for all, to be able to welcome Mowlana Hazar Imam to the office premises of the Jubilee Insurance Company. Mr. Jaffer briefly traced the history of the company. On behalf of all the employees he pledged loyalty to the company.

To commemorate this occasion, the Jubilee Insurance Company has set up an assistance programme for the education of the staff and their families. A bonus equivalent to one month's basic salary to each employee was also announced by Mr. Jaffer.
