Translation of Jibiya indri ekaj naar

Jibiya indri ekaj naar (verses from Khat Nirinjan)

Jibiya indri ekaj naar,
Jo baande so ootre paar 221

Tongue is the only sense, which, one who controls, succeeds.

Indri thar vina paap na jaay,
Paap gaya vina soodh na thaay 222

Without controlling senses sins cannot be eliminated, and without eliminating the sins none can become pure.

Soodh thaya vina santokh na hoy,
Santokh vina bhagti na hoy223

Without being pure, contentment cannot be attained and without contentment devotion is not possible.

Bhagti vina koi joogti na paay,
Joogti vina koi moogti na thaay224

Without devotion, no one can find the path; without the path no one can attain salvation.

Moogti vina amrapoori na jaay,
Amar thaya vina didar na thaay225

Without salvation no one can reach eternal abode (paradise); without being immortal no one can attain Deedar (Vision).

Jyaan soodhi taara man maahen praan,
Saas usaas levoo Ali nu naam226

As long as there is life in your being, upon every breath remember Ali's name.

Pir Sadardeen boliya sat vachan,
eh khat Nirinjan eh darshan259

Pir Sadardeen has spoken the truth: O brother! This is Khat Nirinjan (six paths) leading to God.

Shah na darshan thi jaave paap,
Alakh Nirinjan aapo hi aap260

By Imam's Deedar sins get washed away and he becomes clean and pure by himself like the Indescribable and the Unseen.
