Ek jire bhaaire saachlo maarag saamiji sirjiyaa

Ek jire bhaai re saachlo maarag
saami ji ye sirjiyaa,
kudd kaa chaalo chho vir 1

O my brother! My Lord has created the path of truth. O my brave one! Why do you conduct yourself in a deceitful manner?

Ek jire bhaai re kudaa te kal maanhe
khottaa paddshe,
fal leshe sachaa yaaraa 2

O my brother! The false will be proven false in this age, true friends will reap the rewards.

Ek jire bhaai re kudd mat karo
nahin kaa jaasho biyene,
nir te lochan vayshe 3

O my brother! Do not indulge in falsehood, else you leave this world worthless. Tears will weep with tears from your eyes.

Ek jire bhaai re jire bhaaire sutak paatak
ghattdde ma raakho,
tame kaanye chaalo aap muraadaa 4

O my brother! Do not retain impurity and sin in your heart, why do you follow your own desires?

Ek jire bhaai re aap muradaa jiv dozakhe padiyaa
Tame sat ma chhodo moraa bhaai 5

O my brother! He who follows his own desires fell into hell. Do not abandon the Truth, O my brother.

Ek jire bhaai re mitthdde khaadhe
hoyshe kaddvaa-i,
saami raajo kaagal lakhshe 6

O my Brother! If you consume what appears sweet (outwardly), it will become bitter. My Lord King will keep account.

Ek jire bhaai re lunn paanni naa
saaheb lekhaa leshe,
saami raajo hisaab puchh-she 7

O my brother! My Lord will take account even for salt and water. My Kingly Lord will ask for account.

Ek jire bhaai re kisikaa manddap maaddiyaa,
bhaai kiskaa raaj duaar 8

O my brother! Whose palaces and mansions, O brother! To whom does the kingdom belong?

Ek jire bhaai re saaheb jikaa manddap maaddiyaa,
bhaai Ali jikaa raaj duaar 9

O my brother! It is the Imam's palaces and mansions. O brother, the kingdom belongs to Mowla Ali.

Ek jire bhaai re saaheb jike haatte ayaa vannjaaraa,
bhaai kiyaa lije ne kiyaa dije 10

O my brother! A trading traveller has arrived in the Imam's market. O brother what can take and what can we give?

Ek jire bhaai re saaheb ji ke haatte sab kuchh sodhaa,
vannj kari kari lije 11

O my brother!There are all kinds of wares in the Imam's market, trade in whatever you wish.

Ek jire bhaai re maannak chhoddi je kanch vannjann,
khotte sun vannaj na kije 12

O my brother! They who forsake diamonds and trade in glass, do not do business with such false ones.

Ek jire bhaai re dekhi par ghar ochariyaa,
bhaai man maanhe bhirant na kije 13

O my brother! Pir says, do not be deceived by seeing the wealth and treasures of others.

Ek jire bhaai re baandhi mott
utthaavi na sag-sho,
kaany liyo bhaar anhadaa 14

O my brother! You will not be able to carry the tied bundle of evil deeds, then why are you carrying too much weight?

Ek jire bhaai re kaany re luaarke
vash paddo chho,
ghaddaayeso duji vaar 15

O brother, Why are you surrendering to the backsmith? You will again be beaten into shape.

Ek jire bhaai re aagal bhav saagar
paar-j langannaa,
so kem kari paar langesho 16

O brother! Later on the ocean of life has to be crossed, then how will you go across.

Ek jire bhaai re tan kariyo beddlaa ane
saaheb ni sirevaa,
to saami raajo paar utaare 17

O brother! Let the body be the boat and obey the Imam, then the Kingly Lord will take you across.

Ek jire bhaai re dwaare thaaki
abhiyaagat aave,
teni sirevaa kariyo man dhir 18

O my brother! When a guest arrives from the court of the Imam, then serve him whole-heartedly.

Ek jire bhaai re nicho nami nami
tene kantth lagije,
Apnaa satgurne paaye padije 19

O my brother! Accept him as your master by bowing down with deep humility. Touch the feet of your true guide.

Ek jire bhaai re eso ginaan
Pir bhannaave Sadardin,
saami raajo sidak paatije 20

O my brother! Pir Sadardeen says such a ginan, accept my Kingly Lord as true.
