aave hukam sarve meli ne jaay 1

O my courageous ones!
Wealth, sons, and the illusory existence are fraught with insecurity, for when the call (of death) will come, you will leave behind everything.

koi na kahe aa-jiv maaro maaro,
kaaddo kaaddo lai chakale utaaro 2

O my courageous ones!
No one will claim that this soul is mine, (instead they will say): take him, take him away to the courtyard.

lok kutumb sarve miliyo sansaar,
kaavdd upaddi lai gayaa masaann minjaar 3

O my courageous ones!
Family members , relatives and the entire world gathered. They carried the corpse and took it to the graveyard

ek ne baare ane ek ne daatte,
bhango sabhandh koi na aave jivaddaa ne saathe 4

O my courageous ones!
They cremate one and they bury the other. The relationship is severed and no one accompanies the soul.

sukrit pun jo kije haath,
to ant kaale aave jivddaa ne saath 5

O my courageous ones!
If you perform sukreet (good deeds) with your own hands, then they will accompany you in your final moment.

Sat Gur pujo to bahu fal lahiye,
imaan salaamat Shaah ji sun miliye 6

O my courageous ones!
If you devote yourselves to the True Guide, you will attain abundant fruit. You will then meet the Imam through secure faith.

Shaah ji ne miliyaanu e chhe endhaann,
ghirbhaavaas ni vaachaa paaro to chhutto
chaare hi khaann 7

O my courageous ones!
This is the sign of meeting the Imam. If you fulfill the promise made when you were in the womb, you will be freed from the four stages of evolution.

Ghirbhaavaas ni vaachaa jo tame paalo,
to lobh savaarath hirsaj vaaro 8

O my courageous ones!
If you wish to fulfill the promise made during your stay in the womb, then abandon the greed and selfishness and the pleasures of this world.

Kaall, krodh, ahunkaar na kije,
man maanhe larjine jugat sun lije 9

O my courageous ones!
Do not engage in lust, anger and pride. Cultivate fear in your hearts and and endevour to achieve through the discipline of the Path.

Karam kaagadd jaay gat maanhe kholo,
saaheb aagal saachun-j bolo 10

O my courageous ones!
Take along with you the record of your deeds and open it in Jamat Khana. Speak the truth in front of the Imam.

Gur ghat men jaay karaavo duaa,
to paatak hare nirmal thaay she
jiv-naa vadhaavaa 11

O my courageous ones!
Having gone to the Jamat Khana perform Dua Karavi. Then your impurities will be removed and you will become spotless and hence your soul will attain glory.

Daan pun supaatre dije,
to vaikuntth fal potaa nu lije 12

Submit the good act of charity to the righful authority, then attain the fruit of paradise for yourself.

Aalo bandhaar akhut-j thaay,
ekoter puriaa baytthaa niyaamat khaay 13

If you give, your treasury will never exhaust. Your seventy one generations will effortlessly partake in the blessings.

Sat Panth miliaa to saachaa chaalo,
sat vinaa chaale te sarve jutthaa kari jaanno 14

If you have been blessed with the Satpanth (The Right Path) then proceed truthfully. Those who proceed with the truth, are all false.

Jo dam bolo sohi re likhaave,
saach jutth naa niveddaa thaay 15

O my courageous ones!
Whatever is spoken at every moment is recorded. There will be a judgment about the truth and falsehood.

Saach bolo sat-e chaalo,
sat lai amraapuri maalo 16

O my courageous ones!
Speak the truth and proceed truthfully. Living the truth, enjoy the eternal abode.

Velaa parmaanne vichaari ne chaalo,
to jivddaa ni dasond Shaah ji ne aalo 17

O my courageous ones!
Proceed after reflecting upon the circumstances. Then submit the Dasond of the soul to the Imam.

Pett purann bhari na kije ahaar,
alap ahaar kari nindraa ne vaar 18

O my courageous ones!
Do not fill up your stomach. Having little food control your sleep.

Jiv chhoddaavaa to dehi maanhe jaago,
paanch padaarath pahelaa maango 19

O my courageous ones!
To free the soul remain awake in your bodies. First ask for the five qualities or virtues.

Sat saburi khameyaa maango,
imaan salaamat jikar-e jaago 20

O my courageous ones!
Ask for truth, patience, forgiveness. With secure faith be awake to remembrance.

Araj karo tame maher-j maango,
jikar fikar rahenni maanhe jaago 21

O my courageous ones!
Supplicate and ask only for mercy. Stay awake in remembrance and contemplation at night.

Velaa paramaanne dar chhe motto,
bhanne Pir Imaam Shaah mat chaalo khotto 22

According to the times, the path is exalted. Sayyed Imam Shah teaches: do not go astray.
