His Highness the Aga Khan will receive an honorary degree from the University of Calgary on Oct. 17.University of Calgary Chancellor Deborah Yedlin and President and Vice-Chancellor Elizabeth Cannon are pleased to announce that His Highness the Aga Khan will be the recipient of an honorary degree at a special ceremony next month.

During this visit to Canada, His Highness will also receive combined Honorary Degrees from the Universities of British Columbia (UBC) and the Simon Fraseer University (SFU) on September 18, 2018

His Highness the Aga Khan now has a new connection to the University of Calgary.
In a special ceremony on campus Wednesday, Chancellor Deborah Yedlin conferred an Honorary Doctor of Laws — UCalgary’s highest academic honour — on the 49th hereditary Imam (spiritual leader) of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community.
