Posted July 10th, 2007 by heritageISLAMABAD (Xinhua via COMTEX) -- The European Union (EU) has just approved a grant amounting to 9.85 million euro (about 8.72 U.S.dollars) for education in Pakistan under the implementation of the Institute for Educational Development of the Aga Khan University, a press release by the EU said here Thursday. This grant, which equivalents 532 million Pakistani Rupees, is addressed in particular to the improvement of the quality of the education.

'Japan and Switzerland have provided comprehensive assistance with drawing up this important project for the mountainous village in Shughnon [District]. The countries allocated 74,211 dollars through the Aga Khan Development Foundation for the construction of the station,' the report said.
