I thank the Government of Norway and Minister Johnson for the invitation to speak here this morning and for her generous words of introduction. Madame Minister, the exchanges we have enjoyed since we met yesterday has been highly constructive.
I am particularly honoured to be speaking at the Nobel Institute, respected worldwide for its promotion and recognition of exceptional endeavours to reduce human conflict.

Chosen from among this year’s winners of design excellence awards, the award was announced during the OAA’s recent celebration of excellence in Windsor.

Among those submitted are: His Highness Prince Karim Al-Hussayni, the Aga Khan (Doctor of Divinity). It is expected that that the honorary doctorates will be conferred at a Congregation to be held on Friday, 12 June.

The renowned racehorse breeder and spiritual leader of the world's Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims received an honorary doctorate from the Chancellor of the NUI, Dr Garret FitzGerald. The Aga Khan, who part owns some of Europe's leading stud farms, is the first member of the Islamic community to be honoured in the history of NUI.

Hilton Humanitarian Prize Of $1.5 Million Goes To Bangladeshi NGO
The world's biggest humanitarian prize has been awarded to BRAC, the largest non-profit organization in the developing world. The 2008 Hilton Humanitarian Prize of $1.5 million honors BRAC, a Bangladeshi-based NGO, for its achievements in helping to eradicate poverty in nine Asian and African countries.
