Mowlana Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah visited Nairobi.

Hazar Imam accompanied by Begum Salimah and Prince Amyn visited all four Jamat Khanas in Nairobi and blessed newly married couples. Also there was a visit to the Aga Khan Sports Pavilion.

Visited Pakistan for a month. Attended lunch hosted by Sind Transport Minister, Governor's Garden Party and a Namdar Federal Council dinner. His Highness was a guest at Federation Chambers of Commerce Banquet. Mowlana Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah were guests at a banquet hosted by President Jana Fazal Ilahi Chowdari of Pakistan to honour the Shah and Shahbanu of Iran. Begum Salimah was guest of honour at Health Board baby show. Begum Salimah attended Ismailia Association Religious Education Department audio-visual aids display exhibition.

Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah were guests at reception hosted for Shah of Iran who was on a visit to Pakistan.

Grand Darbar held at Karachi on last day of the visit.

Hazar Imam visited Kenya for 5 days.

Four-day visit by Mowlana Hazar Imam to Pakistan. In Islamabad, held discussions with Federal Minister of Education, Secretary of Federal Ministry for Tourism and members of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation. In Karachi, attended a dinner hosted in His honour by Mr. Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, the Governor of Sind. In Karachi, Mowlana Hazar Imam hosted a dinner for Raja Tridev Roy, Federal Minister for Tourism, and other official of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation. Mowlana Hazar Imam attended the Durbar and met the Jamat.

Visited Syria at invitation of the President.

Hazar Imam visited Ismaili gatherings at the three main centres in Karachi, at Kharadhar, Garden and Karimabad. Also visited the Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam Mohamed Ali Jinnah, the Father of Pakistan, to offer Fateha and lay a floral tribute. In the evening, Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah were guests of honour at a reception given by Vazier Amir Ali Fancy.

Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah began their program of personally inspecting Ismaili education and social institutions by visiting the Aga Khan III School (Sultan Mohammed Shah Foundation School) at Karimabad where Hazar Imam made an extempore speech.

Hyderabad laid on a red carpet welcome for Mowlana Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah when they flew in from Karachi. Morning was spent at the Ismaili Centre. Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah lunched with the Commissioner. Begum Salimah and the Commissioner's wife, Begum Nusrat Hassan, visited APWA School and Industrial Home.

Mowlana Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah visited Jamatkhanas, schools and hospitals. They had returned to Karachi the previous day from Hyderabad.

Begum Salimah visited Ismailia socio-welfare institutions in Karachi, amongst them the Day Nursery and Dispensary run by the Karimabad Health Centre and the Primary School and Cottage Industries Centre of the Ismailia Women's Association. Hazar Imam and Begum Salimah were guests of honour at the luncheon reception organised by R.C.D. Chamber of Commerce.

Hazar Imam and Prince Amyn Mohammad arrive in Bombay, India. The purpose of this visit was to donate to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Fund, through the Government of India, the historic Aga Khan Palace at Yarawda, Poona on the 22nd. .

Hazar Imam and Prince Amyn visited Elephanta Caves, attended a reception given by Maharashtra College of Sciences and called upon Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and President Zakir Husain in New Delhi. (click here)
