Posted March 8th, 2018 by librarian-hde are used to seeing Her Royal Majesty in a uniform of conservative suits, but tonight she delighted royal fans as she slipped into a dazzling ballgown.
The Queen welcomed dignitaries to Windsor Castle for a glittering reception on Wednesday evening, and did so in a hot pink dress.
The 91-year-old monarch looked elegant in a floor-length gown silk gown complete with gold motifs as she welcomed guests to the White Drawing Room.
The event was held in celebration of the Diamond jubilee of the the Aga Khan's leadership as Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslim Community.

Born in London, United Kingdom on 2 January, Prince Sinan is the second child of Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa, and a little brother to Prince Irfan, who was born on 11 April 2015.

Maki to Make UK Debut with New Building for Aga Khan Development Network 2015-08-03

As the Architects' Journal reports, the Japanese firm has designed a nine story, 8,780-square-meter educational space for the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) - a group of non-denominational agencies focused on improving the welfare of people in developing areas in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
The predominately limestone building pulls cues from its context; its facade is derived from the space within, which in turn responds to the surrounding Kings Cross site.
