Kenya: The Aga Khan Deserves a Medal - and the Gratitude of All Kenyans 2015-08-31

This is that we are a vibrant democracy surrounded by authoritarian states. Indeed I would say that some of the nations in our neighbourhood are "militaristic authoritarian states". Think about it for a minute.
In Tanzania, it's only now for the first time that there is a genuine chance of the opposition parties wresting power from the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), which has ruled since independence.
For all intents and purposes, Tanzania has been a single party state for the last 50 years.

Aga Khan Academy, a Gateway For Students to Top Global Universities 2015-06-18
Posted June 19th, 2015 by librarian-hdCoastweek-- The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa, (AKA, Mombasa) which opened just 10 years ago as the first in a global network of academies, has emerged as a gateway for East African students to the world’s top universities, with two thirds of the class of 2015 having been accepted to leading global institutions.
Of the 2015 graduates, a third have been accepted by the world’s Top 100 universities, as ranked by the 2014 Shanghai ranking system.
