Aga Khan hailed for setting up social services on Kibuli Hill 2023-04-17

They said this yesterday while receiving donations of food and clothing from the Esmaili Community.
“Every time you come here, we receive you with a lot of honour and gratitude because of the foundation the Aga Khan planted here. Badru Kakungulu donated 80 acres of land for construction of institutions, which would later benefit many Ugandans,” he said.

DTB commits to grow green lending to 25% of loan book by 2030 2023-03-15

DTB will also grow 10 million trees by 2030 through its #MuchMoreThanTrees initiative, as part of its efforts to help mitigate climate change.
The Bank announced the commitments during its inaugural economic and sustainability forum held at the Crowne Plaza in Nairobi and themed Embedding Sustainability in Businesses.

In all districts of Gilgit Baltistan public and private schools have been opened, now parents can choice either public or private school for the schooling of their children. AKES have opened their schools in three districts of Gilgit division, district Gilgit, Ghizer and Hunza. Dar es Salaam. Some 3.4 million people in Dar es Salaam have been vaccinated against Covid-19, according to regional commissioner Amos Makalla.
He made the revelation yesterday during a voluntary walk organised by (AKHST) in collaboration with the European Union (EU) and Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) with the aim of promoting public awareness of Covid-19 vaccination.

AKDN dishes out Sh188 million subsidy to entrepreneurs 2022-05-27
Posted May 27th, 2022 by librarian-hdMtwara. The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), in cooperation with the European Union (EU), has given a Sh188.32 million subsidy to entrepreneurs in Lindi and Mtwara regions in order to help them encounter economic effects brought about by the Covid-19.
The subsidy is part of a project run jointly by the EU and Aga Khan to encounter the effects of the Covid-19 in the four nations of Tanzania, Kenya Uganda and Mozambique.
At least 112 groups with a total of 1,290 members in the regions have benefited from the subsidy.
