MEDITECH has further extended its global presence by partnering with Aga Khan University, an international institution of distinction providing health services to millions of people in the developing world, to deploy Expanse, the company's state-of-the-art, web-based Enterprise Health Record (EHR). The initial deployment will be at Aga Khan’s academic medical center and clinics in Nairobi, Kenya with a subsequent deployment in Karachi, Pakistan.

Aga Khan University Wins Medical Quiz Contest 2019-06-19

The two-day event was participated by 16 teams of students, representing different medical colleges and universities from across the country.
The semi-final round of the competition was won, after a tough contest, by the teams of AKU, JSMU, Liaqat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS).

HARVARD TO AID IN DEVELOPING PAKISTANI TEACHING HOSPITAL

The $300 million, 721-bed hospital, the most advanced in Pakistan, is being constructed by the Aga Khan, the religious leader of about 15 million Ismaili Moslems. Under an agreement signed here Wednesday, the university will help in developing a medical library, a curriculum for training doctors in the neurosciences and courses on the effects of cultural and work environments on the administration of health services.

The grant worth USD 25000 from Seeding Progress and Resources for the Cancer Community (SPARC) Metastatic Breast Cancer Challenge was received by the Head of Medical Oncology Division at Agakhan University, Dr. Asim Shaikh.
The grant was given as a result of a partnership between the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and Pfizer Oncology.
