CIDA'S ACTIVE PARTICIPATION

CIDA has pledged $4.4 million to the McMaster-Aga Khan University nurse training program which has enabled Pakistani nurses and nursing teachers to attend McMaster to upgrade their skills in the past four years. The agreement that was signed on May 15th is an extension of the previous one involving a commitment of over $6 million and will not only facilitate the training of nurses from the Aga Khan University but also nurses from the Pakistani Government medical institutions. CIDA works in collaboration with the Aga Khan Foundation on some 26 projects and programs related to education health and rural development in Asia and Africa.
