On 9 July in Porto, Prince Amyn Aga Khan was awarded the City’s Medal of Honour by the Mayor of the Porto Municipality, Rui Moreira who presided over a ceremony at the Casa do Roseiral, in the Gardens of the Palácio de Cristal. The medal was presented in honour of "a great patron of the arts." New Curragh development receives high praise after official opening

An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar hailed the new facilities at the Curragh as the track’s official opening ceremony took place during racing on Sunday.

The centrepiece of the redeveloped racecourse is the Aga Khan Stand, which can cater for up to 6,000 people over four levels, and the Aga Khan himself was on hand to take part in the celebrations.
