Aga Khan meeting in Pakistan
In Pakistan, a two-day international conference aimed at finding ways of moving the country away from dependency on foreign aid and towards self-reliance has opened in the capital Islamabad.

The conference, which the organisers say is called Indigenous Philanthropy, is examining ways of getting Pakistanis to invest in social development and has been sponsored by the Aga Khan's Development Network.

The Aga Khan is due to address the conference on Tuesday, as is Pakistan's military ruler, General Pervez Musharraf, who during his year in power has introduced measures to get more Pakistanis to pay their taxes.
