Aziz, Moin call on Aga Khan

ISLAMABAD, Oct 17: Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz met Prince Karim Aga Khan here on Tuesday at the Aiwan-i-Sadr.

Prince Aga Khan assured the finance minister that there would be more investment in Pakistan by the Aga Khan Foundation, especially in the education sector, the health sector and the rural development sector.

Informed sources said that the finance minister briefed Prince Aga Khan about the latest economic situation. Mr Aziz told him that a number of multinational companies and oil companies had expressed their willingness to invest in Pakistan.

APP adds: Interior Minister Moinuddin Haider called on Prince Karim Aga Khan here at the Aiwan-i-Sadar on Tuesday.

He briefed Aga Khan about the steps taken by the government for maintenance of law and order and for creating sectarian harmony.

He also told him about government's police and jail reforms and policy to deweaponize society.
