During the award ceremony at a Nairobi hotel, Aga khan chief Executive Officer, Ian Cripwell said the institution has invested in state of the art equipment to meet international standards.
The hospital was awarded the certification "for conforming to the internationally accepted quality assurance standards for all clinical, diagnostic, administration and support services".
To deserve the ISO certification, Cripwell said, the hospital drew up a timetable to scrutinise policies and re-design forms based on international standards.
"The spectrum of these policies varied from initial assessment forms to customer complaints handling, resuscitation and leave against medical advice," he said.
