Karim Aga Khan meets Jamali, Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: Spiritual leader of Ismailis Prince Karim Aga Khan called on General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali here on Wednesday and discussed matters pertaining to mutual interest with them.

Aga Khan held detailed talks with Mr Jamali on the prospects of investment in various fields especially the telecommunication, financial, and social sectors.

Aga Khan praised Pakistan’s economic policies which helped rebuild investors’ confidence. The prime minister thanked him for showing interest in the growth of education, health and social sectors. Foreign Minister Mian Khurshid Mahmud Kauri and Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz called on Aga Khan in the afternoon.

The president hosted a dinner in honour of Aga Khan. The dinner was attended among others by federal ministers, parliamentarians, senior government officials, members of Aga Khan’s entourage and leading members of the Ismaili community. —NNI
