The Shia Ismaili Muslims spiritual leader, His Highness the Aga Khan, arrives in the country today.
During his visit, the Aga Khan will meet President Mwai Kibaki and top Cabinet ministers.
He will join the President in the inauguration of the Altex Apparel Factory at the Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Athi River.
The manufacturing facility was established by Industrial Promotion Services (IPS) - Kenya and the Global Readymade Garments Industry LLc. IPS is an affiliate of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development.
The Imam and the President will also accompany other international dignitaries in the opening of the Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa on an undisclosed date.
The academy is one in the international networks of the Aga Khan Education Services.
