Aga Khan Leaves for France

His Highness the Aga Khan, yesterday afternoon left Kenya for Paris, France, after a three-day visit where he met with President Mwai Kibaki in Nairobi and Mombasa.

Minister for Gender, Sports, Culture and Social Services, Mr Najib Balala and Mombasa DC, Mr John Egesa, escorted the visitor to the Moi International Airport.

Aga Khan who flew into Mombasa on Friday, attended the inauguration of the Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa, an educational institution along Mama Ngina Drive.

The guest of honour was President Kibaki. The President was flanked by Ministers George Saitoti, Karisa Maitha, Chirau Mwakwere and assistant minister Morris Dzoro.

MPs Suleiman Shakombo, Ramadhan Kajembe, Gonzi Rai, Abdalla Ngozi, Joseph Kingi and Abu Chiaba as well as Coast PC, Cyrus Maina and Mombasa mayor Taib Ali Taib were also present.
