Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Ottri on Monday received Rahim Agha Khan, Son of His Highness Prince Karim Agha Khan.
The two sides reviewed programs and activities of the Agha Khan Network for developing cooperation between the Network and Syria in the fields of financing and establishing projects for preservation of archeological sites, rural development projects and small loans, in addition to other development cultural and tourist projects.
The two sides also discussed establishing a project for culture and tourist marketing in Damascus.
Attending the meeting were Governor of Damascus Bashar al-Mufti and Representative of the Network in Syria Mohammad Mufdi Seifo.

Aleppo’s Governor Ossama Adi on Sunday conferred with Emir Rahem Agha Khan, Member of the Economic Committee at Agha Khan Foundation for Development, on cooperation areas with Agha Khan Foundation in the fields of tourism, culture and preserving human heritage.
During the meeting, Governor Adi talked about the projects being implemented in cooperation with the Foundation in Aleppo’s old city to rehabilitate and enhance it through offering small loans to families, in addition to the works of restoration in Aleppo’s famous Citadel.
Adi said that Aleppo, with enjoys numerous historical sites, is a big incentive to the tourist investment through making use of the available natural constituents of the city and the important geographical site of Aleppo throughout history.
Emir Agha Khan, for his part, expressed admiration over Aleppo’s Islamic old style, stressing that the Agha Khan Foundation projects have started works from Aleppo and expanded to cover all Syria cities.
Agha Kahn Foundation works in Syria aim at rehabilitating old cities, keeping them, developing society and cooperating in the fields of health, education and informatics.

M. Mohammad Naji Itri, président du conseil des ministres, a examiné aujourd'hui avec l'Emir Rahim Agha Khan, fils du prince Karim Agha Khan, les activités du réseau d'Agha Khan pour le développement en Syrie, et la possibilité de l'établissement des projets communs dans les domaines culturel et de développement rural.
L'entretien a porté également sur la possibilité de l'établissement des projets dans le domaine de la commercialisation culturelle et touristique à Damas par l'entretien de certains bâtiments historiques.
