Aleppo Governor Meets Agha Khan

Aleppo’s Governor Ossama Adi on Sunday conferred with Emir Rahem Agha Khan, Member of the Economic Committee at Agha Khan Foundation for Development, on cooperation areas with Agha Khan Foundation in the fields of tourism, culture and preserving human heritage.

During the meeting, Governor Adi talked about the projects being implemented in cooperation with the Foundation in Aleppo’s old city to rehabilitate and enhance it through offering small loans to families, in addition to the works of restoration in Aleppo’s famous Citadel.

Adi said that Aleppo, with enjoys numerous historical site, is a big incentive to the tourist investment through making use of the available natural constituents of the city and the important geographical site of Aleppo throughout history.

Emir Agha Khan, for his part, expressed admiration over the Aleppo’s Islamic old style, stressing that the Agha Khan Foundation projects have started works from Aleppo and expanded to cover all Syria cities.

Agha Kahn Foundation works in Syria aim at rehabilitating old cities, keeping them, developing society and cooperating in the fields of health, education and informatics.

Maire d'Alep / réseau d'Agha Khan

M. Oussama Adi, maire d'Alep, a examiné aujourd'hui avec l'Emir Rahim Agha Khan, membre du comité économique du réseau d'Agha Khan pour le développement, les perspectives de la coopération bilatérale dans les domaines touristiques, culturels et de la protection du patrimoine humain.

L'entretien a porté également sur les projets qui sont en exécution en coopération avec le réseau dans l'ancienne ville d'Alep pour l'instaurer et la développer.

L'Emir Rahim a affirmé à cet effet la détermination du réseau à poursuivre sa coopération avec la Syrie dans les domaines sanitaires, éducationnelles, touristiques et de l'informatique.
