The presentation ceremony of the 2004 Aga Khan Award for Architecture will be held at the Gardens of Humayun’s Tomb, on November 27, at 4.30 pm, followed by a banquet at Arab-ki-Serai.
Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, His Highness The Aga Khan, Union ministers, heads of diplomatic missions, guests and prominent international and Indian architects will attend the ceremony.
A stamp unveiling ceremony will be held the following day at Agra Fort on November 28, at 2.30 pm, to commemorate the issue of special postage stamps featuring Agra Fort and the 2004 Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
The Aga Khan Music Initiative for Central Asia and the Silk Road Ensemble will perform special concerts during both events in Delhi and Agra.
The Aga Khan Award for Architecture was established by His Highness the Aga Khan in 1977. A seminar will be held at the Mughal Sheraton Hotel, Agra, on November 29.
