Aziz asks Aga Khan to invest in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prince Karim Aha Khan, the spiritual leader of Ismailis, called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz at Prime Minister’s House on Sunday and the two discussed the regional and international situation.

The prime minister told the Aga Khan that his government wanted him to invest in Pakistan as there was great potential for investment in tourism in the country.

The prince congratulated the prime minister on his successful tour of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation countries. Prime Minister Aziz told the Aga Khan of his recent dialogue with Indian leaders and said Pakistan was willing to resolve all issues, including the Kashmir issue, in accordance with Kashmiris’ wishes.

The Aga Khan said the Pakistani government’s policies would help strengthen the economy and that the environment for foreign investment had improved. The prime minister said Pakistan was a big market in the region and his government had provided facilities to make it investment-friendly. He said that foreign investors should benefit from the investment opportunities and participate in Pakistan’s development. The prime minister also hosted a dinner for the prince. app
