President commends Aga Khan

President Yoweri Museveni has highly commended His Highness the Aga Khan and The Aga Khan Foundation for being Uganda’s partner in development by investing in the country.

The President made these remarks today at a meeting with His Highness the Aga Khan who called on him at Parliamentary Buildings in Kampala. The Aga Khan has been in Uganda for the ceremony of the commissioning of Serena Kampala hotel that took place yesterday.

His highness was accompanied by the Aga Khan Group representative in Uganda Mr. Mahmood Ahmed, among others.

President Museveni discussed with his guests investment opportunities in energy production, tourism, leather and aviation sectors.

They also delved in the area of value addition to agricultural products with emphasis on quality that is acceptable in international markets.

Prime Minister Professor Apollo Nsibambi, the Minister of Works and Transport Engineer John Nasasira and that of Energy and Minerals Mr. Daudi Migereko attended the meeting.

Others included State Minister for Industry Mr. Ephraim Kamuntu and that of State for Investment Professor Semakula Kiwanuka. ..End.
