Aga Khan due on November 2

ISLAMABAD: The spiritual leader of Ismaili sect, Prince Karim Aga Khan, is due here on November 2 on the invitation of President General Pervez Musharraf.

During his three-day stay in Pakistan, he will hold meetings with President Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. Regional situation, challenges being faced by the Muslim Ummah, investment opportunities in Pakistan, social welfare projects and reconstruction and rehabilitation of the earthquake-devastated areas will come under discussion during these meetings.

The president and the prime minister will host a banquet and luncheon in his honour. Prince Karim Aga Khan will brief the president and the prime minister on his plan to increase accommodation facility in his five-star hotel in Islamabad. He is scheduled to preside over a meeting regarding the expansion plan. He will visit Northern Areas on November 3-4 to inspect welfare projects being run by the Aga Khan Foundation. He will also meet representatives and followers of Ismaili sect in the capital.
