Prince Karim Aga Khan arrives

KARACHI: Prince Karim Aga Khan reached here on Thursday on a five-day visit to Pakistan.

Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ebad, Sindh Home Adviser, Wasim Akhtar, and other high-ups received the guest at the Quaid-e-Azam International Airport.

Later, Prince Karim Aga Khan held a meeting with Ebad at the Governorís House, during which matters related to education, health, industrial progress and investment were discussed.

The governor apprised the guest on the ongoing development projects in these sectors.

He said that the government was focusing on higher education and huge funds were earmarked in this regard.

He also informed him of the Education City programme, initiated by the government in the metropolis.

They also exchanged views on the ongoing projects in these sectors initiated by the Aga Khan Foundation in the province.

Prince Karim Aga Khan expressed his keen interest in these projects.

The governor lauded the role of Ismaili community in the progress of Sindh.

He said that local and foreigner investors were extending their businesses in Karachi due to the positive policies of the government and added that as a result of these policies, a positive image of the city was emerging on international level.
