1908, September 3: Haji Bibi, widow of Aga Muchulshah, sister-in-law of Mowlana Sultan Mohamed Shah had laid a claim on the Aga Khan's wealth in the "Haji Bibi Case" . Mr. Justice Russell give his memorable judgement in Imam's favour in the Bombay High Court on September 3, 1908. In this historical case, Justice Russel gives judgement on 128 questions. Testimonies are also interesting, for example, one witness, Pirmahomed Ibrahim said: "He is our Hazar Imam and the garland of my heart and the light of my eyes". A must read! [Text of the Judgement]
1939, September 3: Writes Henri Rieben, Président of Fondation Jean Monnet pour l'Europe in Lausanne.: "J’ai retenu la vision saisissante développée par l’Aga Khan dans l’après-midi du 3 septembre 1939. 2005, September 3: Khushwant Singh of the Deccan Herald recognised the contribution of Princess Yasmin Aga Khan and wrote "Princess Yasmin Aga Khan whose mother Rita Hagworth died of Alzheimer’s abandoned her singing career to look after her mother during her dying years. She organised fund-raising rallies in New York and Chicago and with the three million dollars she got she set up the Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI). India now has its own branch at 8, Community Centre, East of Kailash, New Delhi-65."
